Military Veteran alumni are invited to kick-off Veterans Week with the Stern Military Veteran's Club. Join us for a keynote presentation featuring Brigadier General Thomas Bouchard, who currently serves as the Assistant Adjutant General of the Rhode Island National Guard, followed by a networking reception with drinks and appetizers. 

Please feel free to join us for the reception portion of the evening even if you cannot attend the Keynote.

Keynote Speaker Bio
Brigadier General Thomas Bouchard currently serves as the Assistant Adjutant General of the Rhode Island National Guard.

General Bouchard began his military career in 1984 when he enlisted in the Army Reserve. After completing Basic and Advanced Individual Training, he joined Army ROTC while attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Upon his graduation in 1988 he was commissioned as an Armor Officer in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.  In 1989, he was assessed on to Active Duty as an Infantry Officer with his first operational assignment as a Platoon Leader with the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry, 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea.  Following a one-year tour in Korea, he was assigned to the 3rd US Infantry, Fort Meyer, Virginia, where he served as a Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer.  In 1994, he completed the Special Forces Qualification Course and was assigned to command a Special Forces Operational Detachment in the 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
