We offer a variety of programs and services that include:
  • Educational and training programs such as workshops, learning forums, speakers series and conferences
  • Venture competitions
  • Business advisory assistance
  • Help desks
  • Mentoring by seasoned entrepreneurs and professionals
  • Networking opportunities with fellow entrepreneurs, investors and thought-leaders in the startup community
Yes. Although housed in NYU's Stern School of Business, the Berkley Center welcomes students, alumni, faculty, researchers and staff from across campus.

We offer several programs which are open to the general public. For example, many of our conferences and workshops are open to the business community at-large. However, our Venture Mentor Network, help desks, and technical assistance programs are limited to working with those with a direct NYU affiliation (i.e., student, alumni, faculty or staff). Due to the overwhelming internal demand for these services, we are simply unable to extend these services to those with no connection to the NYU community.

No. While we can help you make your firm investor-ready, we do not operate an equity fund or a loan program nor do we give grants to startups. However, the NYU Innovation Venture Fund provides seed capital to launch startups based on technologies developed by students, faculty and researchers at NYU. For more information about the fund and to see if your venture qualifies, visit here.
Thanks for asking! We welcome volunteers and partners interested in working with promising startups. If you'd like to volunteer your time as a venture coach, help desk expert or guest speaker, or would like to donate products (e.g., laptops/PCs, furniture, office equipment, software) or professional services (e.g., legal, accounting, programming, marketing, public relations, etc.), please contact our senior associate director, Cynthia Franklin, at cynthia.franklin@stern.nyu.edu or (212) 998-0055.

If you'd like to make a monetary gift or want to explore sponsoring Berkley Center programs, please contact our senior associate director, Cynthia Franklin, at cynthia.franklin@stern.nyu.edu or (212) 998-0055.
We appreciate your interest. However, the Berkley Center is not currently accepting applications at this time for visiting scholars or researcher positions. Please direct such requests to the NYU Stern academic department in your research area or area of specialization.
