About Angela Jhanji
Angela Jhanji is Head of Responsible Investing at Bregal Investments, where she drives responsible investing activities for Bregal's platform and underlying strategies.
Prior to joining Bregal, Angela spent over a decade and a half advancing sustainability value creation. Angela was a Managing Director at EQT, where she led Sustainability Integration for the firm's Private Capital division across Europe and North America - embedding sustainability across due diligence, portfolio integration, and value creation. At EQT, she developed key frameworks including the sustainability "full potential plan" for EQT X, an ESG maturity model, and sector-by-sector value creation playbooks. She led the firm's Private Capital decarbonization SBTi workstream, with more than 50 portfolio companies validating science-based targets. As a senior operating partner, Angela collaborated with Deal Partners, C-suite and board members of EQT portfolio companies activating the influencing environment around financially material sustainability that drives value creation.
Angela teaches Sustainability Value Creation in Private Markets as an adjunct professor at Columbia's Climate School (the first course of its kind in the US) and at NYU Stern. She also serves as a faculty member at ILPA.
Angela was named to Private Equity International's Future 40 in 2025, recognizing her as one of the next-generation leaders shaping private equity globally.
