About Aticus Peterson

Aticus Peterson joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations in June 2025

Peterson’s research focuses on how entrepreneurs and investors develop learning-based competitive advantages, with an emphasis on identifying barriers to effective learning. His work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal and featured in the Harvard Business Review. His research has received multiple awards, including the PhD Paper Prize from the Strategic Management Society. He has also received multiple Certificates of Distinction in Teaching from Harvard University for the highest possible course reviews.

Before joining NYU Stern, Peterson worked as a venture capital investor at Rose Park Advisors, a firm applying the research of co-founder Clayton Christensen.

He received his PhD in Business Administration from the Strategy Unit at Harvard Business School and holds an AB cum laude in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College.
