Biography

Chavon Sutton joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in July 2021. Sutton has expertise in business reporting and investment management, teaching courses in Business Communications and Professional Responsibility & Leadership. Sutton is a Senior Investment Director in the Sustainable & Impact Investing Research Group at Cambridge Associates, a global investment advisor, conducting manager research and working with institutional clients to build sustainability – and impact – focused portfolios. Prior to joining Cambridge, she served as the inaugural Director of Diverse & Emerging Manager Strategy for New York City’s Bureau of Asset Management, the investment advisor to New York City's retirement funds and previously held roles at J.P. Morgan, Bank of America and RBC Capital Markets. Sutton is also an experienced business reporter, having written for CNN Business, Forbes and Reuters. She earned her BA in Economics (cum laude) from University of Pennsylvania, MA in Journalism from NYU’s Arthur L Carter Journalism Institute, and MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
