About David Sayles

David Sayles, CFA, has had a 35-year career on Wall Street in a wide variety of roles. For the last twelve years, he has been a Managing Director at BlackRock Financial Management. At present, he is a member of BlackRock's US Client Solutions Group, which provides complex investment solutions for the Firm's largest institutional clients including Pensions and Insurance Companies. Prior to moving to his current role in 2015, David was a portfolio manager in BlackRock's Financial Markets Advisory Group, managing rates, equities and currency exposures for a wide variety of institutional clients. He was responsible for risk management, duration, cash and liquid instruments of several large resolution portfolios and managed multiple large auctions/liquidations of a broad range of USD and non-USD assets. He also established an advisory practice which provided liquidation, analytical and regulatory support to clearinghouses and other financial market utilities.

Previously, David has worked at institutions including J. P. Morgan, the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), Lehman Brothers and Alliance Capital in trading (FX, structured products and options), corporate finance (asset backed securities, EM debt capital markets, project finance and leveraged lending) and algorithmic trading systems (FX and commodities).
