Leonard is a partner in Private Equity within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, focused on private equity activities in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors, as well as the business services and industrials sectors. Additionally, he is involved in infrastructure investing activities in the digital infrastructure sector.

He joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in the Investment Banking Division in 2005 in New York and spent one year as an associate in Hong Kong. He joined the Merchant Banking Division in 2008 and was named managing director in 2015 and partner in 2020.

Leonard serves on the boards of Atman, Boyd Corporation, Encore, ExteNet Systems, Global Compute, ImOn Communications, iSpot.tv, Madhive, and TAIT. He previously served on the boards of Cell Site Solutions, Pipeline Supply and Service, Sensus, and Vertical Bridge.

Leonard earned a BA from Middlebury College in 2005.
