Deadlines & Process

Below is a table that shows the dates for the Fall 2025 Admissions Cycle, including deadlines and the guaranteed notification date. We accept applications on a rolling basis and the application opens each year in August.

Please note that in the majority of cases, notifications are issued earlier than the specified deadlines, and in some cases, significantly earlier. We understand the importance of providing you with a timely decision. Once admitted, please be prepared to submit an enrollment deposit within two weeks to secure your place in the program.

It's important to note that the Admissions Committee retains the right to release admissions decisions at any time. Rest assured that our decisions are final, and while we are unable to provide feedback on individual admissions decisions, we remain dedicated to assisting you throughout the application process.

Admissions Process

At NYU Stern, we believe in evaluating each MSQM candidate holistically. Our Admissions Committee seeks individuals who possess strong intellectual ability, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a genuine drive to create value for both business and society. Below is an overview of the admissions process:

Step 1: Complete Your Application - Begin by submitting an application that meets all the specified requirements.

Step 2: Admissions Committee Review - Our Admissions Committee will conduct a thorough review of your application materials. If any items are missing, we will reach out to you for clarification or additional information.

Step 3: Initial Notification - After submitting a complete application, you will receive an email notification by the guaranteed initial notification date. This notification will indicate one of the following decisions: an invitation for an interview, an offer to be placed on the waitlist, or a denial of admission. Please note that if your application is incomplete by the deadline, we cannot guarantee notification by the specified date.

Step 4: Interview - Selected candidates may be invited for a 20-minute virtual interview with a member of our Admissions Committee. These interviews are conducted via Zoom and are a prerequisite for admission into the program.

Step 5: Final Decision - Following the completion of your interview, our Admissions Committee will thoroughly assess your application and make a final decision. You will receive an email with one of the following final decisions within 2-4 weeks after your interview: an offer of admission, an offer to be placed on the waitlist, or a denial of admission.

 

Please note that our Admissions Committee accepts applications and issues notifications on a rolling basis throughout the year. We encourage you to initiate the admissions process as soon as you are ready to begin.
