In October 2021, NYU Stern lost an esteemed member of the Stern community with the passing of Thomas F. Cooley, Dean emeritus and emeritus professor of Economics, NYU Stern.

On March 24, 2022, the entire NYU Stern community of alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends rallied together for NYU One Day, the sixth annual University-wide day of giving. Collectively, Stern raised $3.4 million through nearly 1,100 donations.
