Military Veterans Club (MVC)

The Military Veterans Club (MVC) provides networking opportunities to military veterans and exposes other students to military-style leadership. Club event highlights include:
  • Career panels for first-year MBA students
  • A speaker series featuring prominent military veteran business leaders
  • A charity fund-raising event for injured veterans at the New York Mercantile Exchange
  • An international skills workshop for students who served in foreign militaries

 


Scholarships and Financial Assistance for U.S. Military Candidates

Military Application Fee Waivers

U.S. military members and U.S. military veterans who have served on active duty are eligible for an application fee waiver. Just prior to submitting your application, email your request for a fee waiver to admchair@stern.nyu.edu and include documentation of service.

The Military Veterans Scholarship

The Military Veterans Scholarship is awarded to exceptional candidates and covers full tuition and fees, as well as a small stipend, for two years of study in the Full-time MBA program. All U.S. military members and veterans of the U.S. armed forces are considered.

Yellow Ribbon Program

NYU Stern is pleased to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program. This program is available to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who are 100% eligible for the new Post 9/11 GI Bill. During the 2016-2017 academic year, Stern will contribute awards of up to $10,000 per academic year to eligible MBA students. The Veterans Administration will match these funds for a total award of up to $20,000 per year. Yellow Ribbon recipients will receive the funds for the duration of their MBA tenure Please visit the Department of Veterans Affairs website for additional information on eligibility.

Advanced Civil Schooling Award

Any Full-time MBA admitted student who is having a portion of tuition paid for by the military through Advanced Civil Schooling (ACS), or a similar program, is eligible to apply for this award. The amount of the award will vary depending on the level of tuition support from the military. If selected for the award, it will cover any shortfall between the cost of NYU Stern tuition and the tuition funding from the military. Students must apply after admission to the program, but prior to enrolling. To apply for the award, please email admchair@stern.nyu.edu with a brief statement of your situation and include all relevant documentation. Applications will be considered based on availability of funds.

New York State Higher Education Services Corporation Veterans Tuition Awards (VTA)

Veterans Tuition Awards (VTA) are given to eligible veterans pursuing full-time and part-time study in a graduate degree-granting institution in New York State. To learn more about eligibility for the program, please visit the New York State HESC program website.
