Scholarships

Approximately 35% of admitted Full-time MBA students are awarded a merit-based scholarship.

Awards range from partial tuition to full tuition and fees. Priority consideration is given to applicants who submit a completed application for admission by the November 15 deadline, but all applicants are considered for merit-based scholarships. No additional materials are required to be considered.

Below are the Stern merit-based scholarships awarded to incoming Full-time MBA students:

Scholarship decisions are made at the time of admission and included in your official mailed admission letter. All scholarship decisions are final.

Fellowships with Partner Organizations

NYU Stern Full-time MBA students are awarded the following fellowships in partnership with external organizations:

Consortium Fellowship – The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management seeks to enhance the representation of African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in business education and management. U.S. citizens and permanent residents from these underrepresented groups, as well as other persons who can demonstrate a commitment to the Consortium's mission, are eligible. Applicants must apply to NYU Stern through the Consortium application to be considered for this full tuition fellowship. View more information about the Consortium.

Forté Fellowship
– The Forté Foundation is a consortium of major corporations, top business schools and influential nonprofit organizations dedicated to educating and advancing women in business. Stern awards this Fellowship to exceptional women candidates at the time of admission. Award amounts vary. No additional application information is required.

Toigo Fellowship – This Robert Toigo Foundation Fellowship program is for underrepresented students pursuing careers in finance. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Students who have been admitted to Stern are eligible to apply before starting school in the fall. The early deadline is typically in January, and the final application deadline is typically in April.

Below are scholarships awarded to admitted Full-time MBA students that require a separate application. Admitted students are notified about the application process for these scholarships as the information becomes available.

Donor Awards for Second-Year Students

Through the generous support of alumni and friends of NYU Stern, students have another opportunity to receive funding in their second year of the MBA program. No application is necessary. All students are considered for second-year awards based on merit and the criteria specified by the donor.
