"Studying abroad in London was the number one experience so far. London is a beautiful city, but that is only part of the deal. Spending three months or so with the same 30/40 people makes you part of a big family. In BPE you can build relationships that may last a lifetime, and that's a super important aspect of college for me."

"Something that's easy to overlook when applying to college is how those four year will holistically make you better. You're more than a school, resume, or career. How will your college experience make you a wiser, more reliable, more interesting person? I love BPE, because it provides major opportunities for personal growth. You'll not only pick up a lot of skills and knowledge in political economy and business, but you'll also make so many interesting friends and memories across three of the largest, most diverse cities around the globe."

"My favorite BPE courses have been Introduction to Economic and Political Thought with Professor Foudy and Political Economy of Development with Professor Querubin. Both of these courses were particularly memorable because they introduced me to new ways of thinking about the political and economic issues facing our society today. Overall, BPE courses have a commonality of using multiple perspectives and methodologies to analyze issues that are relevant to our daily lives, which has helped me to think more critically about current events."

"I have enjoyed the tight knit community within the program. Alumni have been extremely willing to support me throughout my journey in the program and in my searches for internships. Reaching out to Seniors was also a great way for me to learn about different career paths and eventually helped me figure out what I want to do. I don't think I would be where I am today without the kindness and support of the many BPErs who have come before me."

"I grew up in the Philadelphia area to parents who immigrated from India. As a child, I had the opportunity to visit family in India a number of times, and I was struck by the economic disparity I observed between suburban PA and Bombay. This sparked my interest in economics and politics."

"My BPE experiences instilled in me a sense of constant curiosity. Through BPE courses, classroom conversations, and global travels, I've learned never to take things at face value -- we should always challenge our own assumptions and biases when we tackle new problems, whether it is at work, in our personal lives, or when reacting to what's happening in the world around us."
