Executive MBA Students Explore Japan and South Korea on Global Study Tour

In May, a group of executive MBA students traveled to Seoul, South Korea and Tokyo, Japan on a Global Study Tour. Highlights of the program included meetings with executives from Doosan Industries, Sparklabs, Samsung, Maekyung Media Group, Disneyland Tokyo and Toyota.

“Globalization continues to play a pivotal role in business, and as students, we must learn how to act as global citizens in today’s interconnected world,” says Executive MBA student Oksana Poznak. "The Global Study Tour to South Korea and Japan was not only intellectually rewarding, but also culturally fulfilling. Traveling to both Seoul and Tokyo helped me gain a working knowledge of local market practices, observe business operations close-up and develop a strong understanding of the region’s cultural environment. Through many company visits, on-site presentations and open-forum discussions, my classmates and I were able to experience direct interaction with business leaders, economists and entrepreneurs. By studying abroad, we gained a renewed sense of intellectual energy and focus, as well as a more sophisticated view of world business."
