The 13th Annual NYU/Penn Conference on Law and Finance, co-sponsored by New York University’s Pollack Center for Law & Business and the University of Pennsylvania’s Institute for Law and Economics, was held on February 24-25. Faculty from top business and law schools convened to present, discuss and debate their work.

Conference highlights included:
  • Stephen Choi, director of the NYU Pollack Center and NYU Law professor, delivered opening remarks on day one of the conference, highlighting key areas where the intersection of law and finance can enhance learning (pictured above left).
  • Professor David Yermack, director of the NYU Pollack Center, kicked off the second day of the conference (pictured above right).
  • Professor Arpit Gupta presented his co-authored research on hedge funds and returns entitled “Skin or Skim?” (pictured below).
  • Professor Kose John moderated a discussion on securing property rights with faculty from Columbia Law School and the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.
