Peggy Yu is the Co-founder and Executive Chairwoman of Dangdang.com, a prominent e-commerce company in China. She started the company in 2000 and grew it into the largest online bookseller in China before taking it public on the New York Stock Exchange in December 2010. Born in Chongqing, China, Yu graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Branch Campus of Beijing Foreign Language Institute in 1986. She later obtained an MBA from NYU Stern. Yu has won numerous awards, including recognition as one of the 10 Most Influential Businesswomen in Asia by The Wall Street Journal in 2006 and one of the 10 Best Women CEOs by China Entrepreneur Magazine in 2018.
