Faculty-Led Travel Courses

Unparalleled global courses taught by Stern faculty

Faculty-Led Travel Courses

The Global Education team encourages students to view the world as their classroom. Faculty-Led Travel Courses offer unique academic opportunities that leverage NYU Stern and university faculty to provide unparalleled global courses. Participating students are provided with varying levels of administrative support from the Office of Student Engagement to facilitate these exciting opportunities.

While our DBi's are led by local faculty at our partner schools abroad, our Faculty-Led Travel Courses are taught by Stern faculty. Similarly to DBi courses, these courses travel globally to explore the unique business models taking hold in economies locally and abroad. NYU Stern faculty often elect to include a travel component into some courses where possible. These type of courses may not be offered every semester or every year.

Two recent experiences that NYU Stern has supported are Operations in Entertainment: Las Vegas taught by Professor Harry Chernoff, and The Craft and Commerce of Cinema: Cannes Film Festival taught by Professor Al Lieberman.

All MBA students are eligible to participate, but each professor may have further criteria for eligibility (i.e., may require the marketing specialization, etc). These courses are often application-based. Please contact us (intl@stern.nyu.edu) for more information.
