To understand if Leadership Fellows is right for you, consider asking yourself, “Am I committed and eager to grow? Do I benefit from active, experiential learning? Am I willing to step out of my comfort zone? Do I have an open mindset to give and receive honest feedback, reflect on my behavior, and understand others’ perspectives?” If you answered “yes” to all of the questions above, Leadership Fellows may be right for you. The Leadership Fellows course is designed to increase your confidence and leadership presence.
The 1.5-credit course requires full attendance for a passing grade.
The 3-credit course permits one planned absence. That said, this is something we discourage, given the importance of your commitment to the class and your fellow classmates. Leadership Fellows is centered on active participation within a small group of students invested in each other’s growth. Therefore, after one absence, you will receive a failing grade for the course. The only exception made will be for an emergency medical situation.
Note that religious absences should be made known ahead of time. That way, the Leadership Accelerator team can place you in a section that does not conflict with your religious observances.
