In order to apply to the Executive MBA program, you must have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 6 years of full-time work experience by the start of the program, typically calculated from the time you earned your undergraduate degree
January Start (NY Only): September 15, October 15
August Start (NY and DC): March 15, May 15

NYU can sometimes sponsor international students. The NYU Office of Global Services (OGS) handles immigration matters for all students, faculty, and staff seeking immigration and visa support when traveling to NYU locations in the US and around the world. NYU can sponsor international students for F-1 student status for the EMBA NY and EMBA DC programs. Prospective students should refer to the OGS website for more information.
Students in the Executive MBA NY and DC program who hold an F-1 visa may be eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT). Admitted students can review more information here and connect with OGS. Please note that due to the format of the program's curricular design, the program is not eligible for Curricular Practical Training (CPT).
