Resources for Students and Applicants:

  • Stern Women in Business (SWIB) hosts career networking, professional development, community service and social events open to Stern's community. The annual SWIB conference draws more than 400 Stern students, alums and professionals from the New York City area. Contact current students in SWIB at swibadmissions@stern.nyu.edu.
  • The SWIB Alumnae Mentorship Program matches two-year full-time MBA students with alumnae mentors for support and advice during their summer internships. 
  • Forté Foundation is a consortium of top business schools and companies dedicated to directing talented women toward leadership roles in business.

Scholarships and Financial Assistance

The NYU Stern Advancing Women in Business Scholarship
Established in 2017, The NYU Stern Advancing Women in Business Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that is awarded to students entering the Two Year Full-time MBA program that demonstrate a deep and abiding commitment to advancing women in business. This scholarship covers full tuition and mandatory fees for the two years of the Full-time MBA program. The award is partially funded by alumnae and members of the Stern Executive Board.   

Forté MBALaunch Application Fee Waivers
Participants from the Forté MBALaunch program are eligible for an application fee waiver. Just prior to submitting your application, email your request for a fee waiver to admchair@stern.nyu.edu.

EmpowHER: Career Development Program for Women in Sustainable Finance, Supported by Visa Foundation

The NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business (CSB) has launched EmpowHER: Career Development Program for Women in Sustainable Finance, Supported by Visa Foundation. EmpowHER aims to help a diverse group of values-driven professionals build their financial expertise and networks, creating the foundation for gainful career opportunities in sustainable investing. EmpowHER will provide a two-year leadership development initiative for MBA students.
