| LAUNCH is a two-week program that begins with an intellectual summit to explore the intersection of the World, Business and City. The intention: to inspire our students beginning on their first day at Stern to think of the major challenges facing the world, such as climate change, fiscal crises, energy and urbanization, and to expand their view of possibilities--what business can do, and what they can achieve--to create value. NYU Stern's MBA program is 60 credits; more than half are electives. To ensure that you have a solid foundation in all areas of business, the majority of your first year is comprised of Stern core courses.

| Each class is divided into 6 blocks of 60-70. Students run for block leadership positions in September. Blocks organize and participate in numerous events throughout their two years at Stern including:

During the summer between your first and second year, you will participate in a summer internship. The internship provides industry experience and vital networking connections that help you take your career to the next level.

Your second year is comprised almost entirely of elective courses. You will also take your final core course, Professional Responsibility.

| Elective Courses Stern students graduate with an MBA in General Management and may select up to three specializations. Each specialization is comprised of about three elective courses. Stern offers the most elective courses of any top business school - more than 300 elective offerings are available over the course of your two years. During your second year, you can:
Offered in an intensive format, the Professional Responsibility core course encourages you to think about how to conduct yourself in the most professional and honorable way in your career as you strive to create value for others and yourself. Professor Haidt, a leading moral psychologist, challenges students to see their careers as a "hero's journey" during the week-long course. |
