Position Description
The Department of Technology, Operations and Statistics invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track, clinical faculty appointment at all Professor levels (Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, Clinical Professor) in the area of Statistics, starting in September 2024.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary ranges for this position are

  • Clinical Assistant Professor $101,000-$151,000
  • Clinical Associate Professor $120,000-$180,000
  • Clinical Professor $140,000-$210,000

This pay range represents base pay only (for 12 months) and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Qualifications
A candidate for a full-time clinical appointment must present evidence of an outstanding teaching career in academia or a distinguished career as a practitioner. Candidates are required to have a minimum of a Master’s degree, have strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities, and show strong pedagogical skills including classroom performance, curriculum development, and teaching innovation in the areas related to Statistics and Regression Analysis. The candidate will be expected to teach introductory courses in Statistics at the Undergraduate and MBA levels and a course in Applied Regression and Multivariate Data Analysis. A sample syllabus for this latter course is linked here. Proficiency in R, the regression statistical software program, is preferable.
