On Wednesday, March 21, NYU Stern will welcome PwC Vice-Chair and US Assurance Leader Maria Castañón Moats to campus for a fireside chat.

This program will introduce you to a variety of analytical frameworks related to leadership and will focus on how to apply those frameworks to analyze and address important leadership challenges.

NYU Stern’s Business & Society Program welcomed Seema Saifee, staff attorney for the Innocence Project, and Darryl Howard, who was exonerated after serving 24 years for a wrongful murder conviction, to speak to an audience of undergraduate Stern students.

On Wednesday, March 14, NYU Stern will welcome Farooq Kathwari (MBA '68), CEO of Ethan Allen, to campus as part of Stern’s “C-Suite Speaker Series.”

On March 5-6, NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business hosted its first annual Practice Forum entitled, “Working Together to Build the Financial Case for Sustainability”.

The NYU Stern Center for Global Economy and Business will host the Global Investing in China panel discussion on March 5, 2018. 

On March 2, the NYU Stern Private Equity Club (SPEC) will host its 13th annual Stern VC & PE Conference. 

On March 1, The NYU Stern Office of Alumni Relations hosted an installment of the “Author Lecture Series” featuring Professor Melissa Schilling and Bloomberg View’s Justin Fox. The duo discussed findings from Schilling’s new book, “Quirky: The Remarkable Story of the Traits, Foibles, and Genius of Breakthrough Innovators who Changed the World”. 

This program is intended for participants who want to create a culture that values and encourages new ideas. Participants will learn to rethink the habits that have made them successful in the past, and challenge the conventional wisdom and industry models that have defined their business.

On February 28, the NYU Stern Center for Global Economy and Business will host a fireside chat with Ben Golub, Chief Risk Officer, BlackRock. 

On February 23, 2018, the social enterprise student organizations of New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, School of Law, and Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service will host the 8th Annual NYU Social Innovation Symposium (SIS).

NYU Stern's W. R. Berkley Innovation Labs will welcome NYU alumni, angel investors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and industry innovators to the 16th Annual New Venture Showcase.

On Feb. 15, the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business and GlobeScan co-hosted a panel discussion entitled, “Corporate Sustainability Leadership: Past, Present and Future Trends”.

NYU Stern Leadership Development hosted its first “Leadership in Crisis” simulation for MBA students. Designed to prepare students for managing real-world crises, the full-day event was made possible with support from Alvarez & Marsal, co-founded by Tony Alvarez (MBA ‘76), who serves as the firm’s CEO and is a member of NYU Stern’s Board of Overseers.

On Tuesday, Dec. 5, NYU Stern will welcome Bob Greifeld (MBA ’87), Co-founder of North Island Ventures and Chairman of Virtu Financial, Inc., to campus as part of Stern’s “C-Suite Speaker Series.”

Experts from academia, financial industries, regulatory agencies, media and the legal and accounting professions will gather at NYU Stern on December 4 for a roundtable on “FASB Accounting Standards Update: Measurement of Credit Losses on Financial Instruments,” hosted by the Vincent C. Ross Institute of Accounting Research.
