“Jihoon, who successfully built and led a leading high-tech company, brings incredible insights about tech entrepreneurship into the classroom and learning environment for our students,” said J.P. Eggers, Vice Dean, MBA Programs. “It is exciting that he will now expand his involvement in the School with his Fubon Center appointment.”
In his role at the Fubon Center, Rim will work closely with Natalia Levina, Professor and Fubon Center Director, and other faculty on activities such as building stronger ties with tech industry leaders and companies, facilitating research projects, and taking part in events.
“We’re thrilled that Jihoon is bringing his deep technology leadership expertise that I am sure will greatly benefit the Fubon Center,” said Professor Levina. “We look forward to working with him as we continue to move the Center’s mission forward.”
Prior to joining Stern, Rim led Kakao, a major South Korean technology company, as it expanded its business operations into finance, contents, artificial intelligence and mobility. In recognition of his performance, he was distinguished as the top-ranked executive in a 2017 survey spotlighting Korea’s major CEOs. In 2017, Rim also was honored by the Association for Information Systems with the “AIS Leadership Award”.
