In January NYU Stern’s Office of Student Engagement (OSE) introduced a new, intensive-style Stern Solutions experiential learning course, “Tech Solutions.” In the four-week class offered online, two-year Full-time and Langone Part-time MBAs were charged with helping to provide real-time solutions for corporate partners The Wall Street Journal & Dow Jones, and Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans.

The Fubon Center will host a fireside chat featuring Terrance Odean, Rudd Family Foundation Professor of Finance at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, moderated by Professor Melissa Schilling.

In this program, we will examine best-practices related to the business use of social media and digital marketing.

Wharton Prof. Mauro F. Guillén will join NYU Stern Prof. Sinziana Dorobantu to share insights and answer questions from his new book 2030: How Today's Biggest Trends Will Collide and Reshape the Future of Everything. He will relate this new work to his foundational research on globalization.

For instance, the Management Consulting Association at Stern offers a session called 'Hit The Deck,' which trains students on how to build a consulting deck. Academic Advising and Affairs offers sessions throughout the school year on Excel, design thinking, and current topics such as blockchain and fintech. Such sessions are a great way to strengthen your toolkit in anticipation of your internship, outside of what you’re learning in your standard coursework."

For over ten years, the Latin American Business Associations (LABA) at NYU Stern and Columbia Business School have positioned their Latin American Business Conference as one of the most anticipated forums to discuss the pressing issues, challenges, and achievements of the region. The 2021 Latin American Business Conference, on Friday, April 9th, will feature keynotes from BTG Pactual and Blackrock and panels that will explore Latin American resilience.

In its 15th year, the conference is open to students and the general public, providing industry knowledge and networking opportunities for hundreds of MBAs and media professionals passionate about the entertainment, media, and sports industry.

Excerpt from Executive Courses-- "New York University’s Stern School of Business puts on the Communication Strategies: Developing Leadership Presence program. Participants practice developing and delivering messages that support their personal brand. Through videotaped sessions, they identify strengths and weaknesses in their communication style. They also get feedback from faculty to make improvements, leaving the course with a stronger leadership presence."

In his address to the NYU Stern Undergraduate Class of 2021, Adam Mosseri will reflect on his experiences living in New York City, attending New York University, and his journey to becoming the Head of Instagram. He will discuss the importance of finding the intersection of passion and talent in the context of graduating in a global pandemic, a once-in-a-generation moment.

The resilience and agility already demonstrated by this year’s graduates when they switched gears almost overnight to continue to advance their goals are the same traits they will need to succeed as leaders going forward. In his address to the NYU Stern Graduate Class of 2021, Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., will share how he has approached his career as a “climbing wall” rather than a ladder, taking advantage of opportunities for lifelong learning even when it meant moving sideways or slightly down rather than up.
