Financial Aid

There are many federal and private loan programs available for MS in Fintech Program students. Please visit Stern's Financial Aid website to learn more.

Students who wish to use financial aid may be eligible for Federal and/or Private student loans. Federal loans consist of funding provided by the government to domestic students (U.S. citizens and permanent residents only). To apply, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Private loans are non-federal loans that are offered through lenders such as banks or credit unions. Most private lenders require non-U.S. citizens and permanent residents to apply with a U.S. based co-signer. For more information, you are welcome to contact the NYU Stern Graduate Financial Aid Office or visit their website.

We unfortunately do not offer scholarships for the MS in Fintech program. Most MSFT students finance the program through a combination of company sponsorship, loans, and personal finances. If you are planning on having these discussions with your employer, we are happy to provide you with a template to help you frame the program and its benefits. You may also visit our Sponsorship Page.

International Students

International students are welcome and encouraged to apply to the MS in Fintech Program. Admissions policies and tuition fees are the same for both international and non-international students. In order to facilitate visa processing, international students are encouraged to submit I-20 applications for each of the US-based modules as soon as they are put in touch with our dedicated MSFT Program Manager in order to obtain a F1 student visa. Please note that international students are responsible for the costs incurred for the SEVIS/visa application fees throughout their tenure as students. For global module locations, the MSFT administration will provide information about any relevant visa requirements.

Veterans

NYU Stern is pleased to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program. This program is available to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who are 100% eligible for the new Post 9/11 VA Benefits. During the academic year, Stern will contribute awards of up to $31,600 per academic year to eligible MSFT students. The Veterans Administration will match these funds for a total award of up to $63,200 per year. Yellow Ribbon recipients will receive the funds for the duration of their MSFT tenure. Visit NYU's Veterans Benefits page and the Department of Veterans Affairs website for additional information on benefits and eligibility.
