How long will I have access to my online student resources?
Access to such online resources as NYU Classes and the Virtual Business library will expire approximately 90 days after graduation. If you have questions about your access, please contact NYU IT by calling (212) 998-3333 or by emailing askIT@nyu.edu. Additional information is also available on the NYU IT website.
Will I lose access to my Stern email account and SternLinks?
As a Stern graduate, you will retain lifelong access to your Stern email account. However, your account will move to “alumni” status in the months following your graduation. You will receive an email to notification before this occurs.
After your account has migrated, you will notice changes to how you are asked to update your account information as well as changes to the online services available to you through SternLinks. As an alumnus/a, you will no longer receive access to student-specific SternLinks tools such as course evaluations, SIMON, and AIS.
Once your email account has been switched to alumni status, you will be able to access your email by visiting gmail.stern.nyu.edu. If you are currently forwarding your Stern email to another non-Stern email address, your forwarding preferences will be retained and you will not need to do anything. If you need to make changes to your account password, you will be able to do so via the Stern Alumni Google Email portal, located under the “Benefits and Services” drop down menu in NYU SternConnect. (You will need to be signed into NYU SternConnect to access the Stern Alumni Google Email portal.)
If you have not already joined Stern’s online community, we encourage you to do so now. In addition to providing a portal for Stern alumni email services, NYU SternConnect can help you access the power of your network through a number of useful features.
