In the first brochure I read about Stern, Kenneth Langone said, “Work hard, work smart, and when you’re tired, work twice as hard.”  I joined NYU Stern to get a first-rate business education that would be a great supplement to the work I was doing during the day at one of the world’s premier investment banks.  I applied the knowledge I gained from the myriad of individual and group assignments to propel my career to the next level.  More specifically, my classmates and I learned effective ways to maintain a global perspective, practice responsible leadership, manage conflicts, align stakeholders toward a common goal, inspire and empower a workforce, and use our emotional intelligence.  My classmates and I also benefited from opportunities to study and/or trek abroad, the yearly retreat to Iroquois Springs, academic and athletic clubs, and the numerous opportunities each week to network and socialize.  I had an incredible experience at NYU Stern.  The knowledge and friendships I gained over the three and a half years will stay with me forever and be instrumental in my pursuit of professional and personal excellence.
