On Monday, April 8, the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights will host an event exploring why and how companies should support civic freedoms and human rights defenders around the world, drawing upon recently launched guidance, “Shared Space Under Pressure: Business Support for Civic Freedoms and Human Rights Defenders”, commissioned by the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre and International Service for Human Rights.

On Wednesday, April 3, the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights will host a discussion entitled, "Online Advertising, Human Rights and the Rule of Law." The conversation will consider the human rights implications of current online advertising practices, and how advertisers, internet platforms and advertising companies can be expected to address these risks.

The NYU Stern Salomon Center for the Study of Financial Institutions and the Bank Policy Institute welcomed Raghuram G. Rajan, distinguished service professor of finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, for the Gallatin Lecture Series on Banking on Tuesday, April 2.

On Monday, April 1 NYU Stern's Fubon Center for Technology, Business and Innovation will host a talk on “Demystifying AI and Machine Learning” by Dr. Pedro Domingos, author of The Master Algorithm: How the Quest for the Ultimate Learning Machine Will Remake Our World. 

On March 27, Paul Daugherty, chief technology & innovation officer, Accenture, will discuss his new book, Human + Machine: Reimagining Work in the Age of AI, with Professor Arun Sundararajan.

Ethical Systems, housed in NYU Stern's Business and Society Program, hosted its second biennial Ethics by Design conference, “Managing Organizations in an Era of Anxiety, Polarization & Disruption,” bringing together researchers and practitioners to discuss present-day challenges for running ethical organizations.

NYU Stern's Business and Society Program hosted Blake Gopnik, art critic and author of a forthcoming Andy Warhol biography, and Amy Whitaker, assistant professor in arts administration at NYU Steinhardt, for the first event in a new series bringing together business and the arts at NYU Stern. The dialogue, entitled,“Stern Meets Warhol,” explored the life and work of Andy Warhol as both an artist and a businessperson.

This course teaches participants to harness the full potential of large quantities of data to make more informed decisions at all levels of their organizations.

On Wednesday, March 13, NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business hosted its Second Annual Practice Forum, entitled “How to Assess the ROI on Sustainability for Corporate Practitioners and Investors.”
