Diplomas are mailed to the permanent address on file about eight weeks after the degrees have been awarded.

Annual Job Expo

Each fall, employers from the tri-state area are excited to meet NYU students, alumni and professionals at the Annual Job Expo. Bring plenty of resumes!

Annual Self-Employment, Business Ownership and Entrepreneurship Conference

Every April, Stern and the Office of University Alumni Relations host a conference on self-employment, business ownership and entrepreneurship. Past speakers have included Leonard Riggio, CEO of Barnes and Noble, and Tim and Nina Zagat.

Beginning in your senior year, you are eligible to access NYU SternConnect- the Stern Worldwide Alumni Platform. Connect is an online directory of Stern Alumni and a place to network with other Stern alumni.

Post-Graduate Studies

General information
Those students interested in post-graduate studies can begin preparations now. For a full suite of options visit Peterson's graduate school website.

Most MBA programs prefer to see students with work experience. General information on pursuing an MBA can be found on the official website of the GMAT.

Students interested in applying to law school should contact the Stern Undergraduate pre-law adviser Professor Jeanne Calderon. Prof. Calderon holds pre-law information sessions for upperclassmen interested in applying to law school and underclassmen who want to learn more about a pre-law track. For more information on law school, visit the Law School Admission Council's website.

Students interested in a business subject PhD should contact the appropriate Faculty Adviser to review suitable course work. The Office of Academic Advising also coordinates periodic information sessions, check back for updated schedules.

Students interested in undertaking pre-professional preparation for application to medical, dental, veterinary, osteopathic medical, optometry, or podiatry school are encouraged to consult NYU's Pre-professional Advisement Office, Silver Center, Room 901, (212) 998-8160. Stern students interested in pursuing these paths are encouraged to meet with an academic adviser early in their career to ensure proper curricular planning. Professional Exams
The GRE, Series 7, CPA and CFA exams. Each year, Stern offers a scholarship to offset the costs associated with the CFA exam. The application process occurs at the end of the fall semester.
