Visiting Scholars

The visiting scholar program extends specified courtesy titles and privileges to scholars of distinction who visit Stern to engage in research and scholarship. Visiting scholars are considered guests of the university who may visit for a temporary period of up to one year (renewable). Privileges include participating in colloquia, auditing classes, consulting members of the faculty, and using the university libraries.

The Visiting Scholars program is highly selective, and to apply, you must have sponsorship from an Accounting Department faculty member. The visiting scholar application can be found here.

Please note: The standard application processing time is approximately 4-6 weeks following department approval. If visa sponsorship is required, an additional 3 months are required for the visa application process.
