Chief Executive Officer, Gateway Engineers
Jason Jesso

Jason D. Jesso is the Chief Executive Officer of The Gateway Engineers, Inc., where he sets, implements, and communicates the firm’s organizational vision internally and externally. Trained as a landscape architect, he began his career as a landscape designer at two Pittsburgh-area architecture and engineering firms before joining Gateway, where his responsibilities and interests evolved from design into organizational leadership and strategy. He now leads a team of nearly 200 professionals committed to Gateway’s core foundations of People, Projects, and Purpose. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors—golfing, cycling, skiing, hiking—and traveling with his family, and he is continually focused on growth as a teammate, leader, husband, and father.

He holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from West Virginia University, an MBA from Waynesburg University, and a certificate from the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence at the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business.

His professional and community involvement includes service on the boards of Seton La Salle Catholic High School and the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and previously served as vice president of the Project Management Institute’s Western Pennsylvania/Delaware Chapter. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP #1287843).
