As part of the Office of Stern Life’s Meet an NYU Stern Academic series, Yakov Amihud, Ira Rennert Professor of Entrepreneurial Finance, visited The Beacon School, a New York City public high school, accompanied by Dr. Victor Mullins, Senior Associate Dean of Stern Life. Invited by George Tetteh, a Beacon junior and Founder and President of Beacon Finance, Professor Amihud led an engaging mini-class on finance and financial markets, encouraged students to think critically, and shared his personal journey to NYU. Students enthusiastically participated, asked questions, and continued conversations with Professor Amihud after the session. NYU Admissions also provided information packets and an opportunity for students to join a dedicated mailing list to learn about future opportunities at NYU. The visit highlighted the importance of expanding educational access, building connections, and inspiring young people to envision new possibilities for their futures. Stay tuned as the Office of Stern Life creates more opportunities for NYU Stern professors to share their expertise with the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and business leaders.
