Military Veterans Alumni Group
As one of Stern’s Identity Affinity Alumni Groups, there are three overarching pillars of focus. These include fostering a Community of One, regardless of program; prioritizing Alumni for Alumni support while also addressing the needs of current students; and embracing the philosophy of treating students as Pre-Alumni.
Military Veterans Mission Statement
The NYU Stern Military Veterans Alumni Group creates unmatched opportunities for every member of the NYU Stern Military Veterans community, including prospective students, current students, and alumni, to engage with and support one another. The group collaborates with various offices at the School to host a variety of events each year. These events include a Military Summit for prospective students, a Fertitta Veterans student-alumni breakfast, thought leadership programming during MVC's Veterans Week, and social happy hours throughout the city.
Military Veterans Alumni Goals
The primary goal of the Military Veterans Alumni Committee, in alignment with the Stern Alumni Council's objectives, is to foster a stronger Military Veterans community. This involves ongoing efforts to enhance the reputation of our Military Veterans alumni brand, showcase the diversity within our alumni community, and actively engage current Veteran students to cultivate a robust pipeline of future Military Veterans alumni members. Military Veterans Activities
Throughout the year, the NYU Stern Military Veterans Alumni Group organizes a variety of events to foster connection and camaraderie within the community. These include the Fertitta Veterans Luncheon, the Fertitta Veterans Student Alumni Networking Breakfast, and the Fertitta Veterans Student-Alumni Networking Happy Hour. Additionally, the group hosts the NYU Stern Military Veterans Alumni & Student Fall Happy Hour, providing an opportunity for veterans and students to mingle and network.
