The resilience and agility already demonstrated by this year’s graduates when they switched gears almost overnight to continue to advance their goals are the same traits they will need to succeed as leaders going forward. In his address to the NYU Stern Graduate Class of 2021, Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., will share how he has approached his career as a “climbing wall” rather than a ladder, taking advantage of opportunities for lifelong learning even when it meant moving sideways or slightly down rather than up.

Coming into a male-dominated environment, I sought out a community of supportive and empowering women, and USWIB became the most rewarding experience of my time at NYU. Over the years, I’ve been able to serve as a mentor for more than 30 female students, lead a team that coordinated a conference for 300 attendees, and help create a new initiative of diversity, equity, and inclusion dialogues to spread the word about topics such as race, gender, and intersectionality. Excerpt from Poets & Quants--"The MSQF program offered jointly by NYU Shanghai and NYU Stern offered a chance to study in New York City and build connections with Stern professors, while I was also able to find a job in Shanghai and focus on a career in the Chinese market.  For students majoring in finance, studying at Stern was a valuable opportunity for me to build connections with some of the most famous professors in the field. Also, the degree has helped me get a great job in China, where I live and have a network. Thanks to Shanghai’s well-developed financial industry, there are many exciting opportunities within the local market for finance students, so it was a great city to finish our studies and look for a job."

I obviously wanted to have work experience in analytics and that is one of the reasons I went for the program in the first place. "Batia Wiesenfeld is director of Stern’s Business and Society Program, an interdisciplinary initiative to develop responsible business leaders with the skills to address economic, social and environmental challenges."

"She says the choice to integrate depends on the subject. In an evolving field such as environmental, social and governance investing, she says students will benefit from learning novel tools and skills in standalone elective courses, giving them more time to home in on dynamic practices. On Tuesday, March 9, NYU Stern's Entertainment, Media & Technology (EMT) Program will host a fireside chat and "Stern Tank" with Mark Cuban.

Excerpt from BSchools-- "NYU Stern’s online master of science in quantitative management (MSQM) is open to applicants of any undergraduate major and level of work experience. The degree provides graduates with a forward-thinking blend of business management foundations, leadership, and analytics. The classes are delivered online, asynchronously, with students attending two immersive four-day residencies on campus. The program consists of 33 credits."
"Dr. Harry G. Chernoff is the deputy chair of the department of technology, operations, and statistics at NYU Stern School of Business, where he is also a clinical professor of real estate and operations management. He received his MS in quantitative analysis and his PhD in operations management from Stern."

On Monday, March 8, NYU Stern's Entertainment, Media & Technology (EMT) Program will host "A Conversation with Kara Swisher."

Don't miss out on the 20th Annual GMA Conference on Friday, March 5th, entitled Powering Up: The Future of Consumer Connectivity. This year's event will center on the importance of forming consumer connections when making business decisions to improve brand relations and loyalty. 

NYU Stern's Fubon Center for Technology, Business, and Innovation, and its Fintech initiative, will host Stern's annual FinTech Conference on Friday, March 5, 2021. This year's conference will focus on Global Fintech 2021: No Borders, No Barriers. 

DHL Express CEO John Pearson joins NYU Stern Dean Raghu Sundaram in a "fireside chat" to inaugurate the DHL Initiative on Globalization Speaker Series at NYU Stern's new Center for the Future of Management.
