Kristen Sosulski is an Associate Professor of Information, Operations and Management Sciences at New York University’s Stern School of Business and the current Director of Learning Science for the W. R. Berkley Innovation Labs at Stern. Professor Sosulski received her doctorate in Communications, Computing, and Technology in Education from Columbia University. Her B.S. is from NYU Stern School of Business in Information Systems. She teaches MBA and executive courses in data visualization, R programming, and operations management. Her passion for technology and learning sciences has led her to a career as an information systems professor in a business school who develops innovative practices for higher education.

Professor Sosulski is the co-author of the Essentials of Online Course Design: A standards-based guide (Routledge, 2011, second edition, Routledge, 2015) and the Savvy Student’s Guide to Online Learning (Routledge, 2013).

Professor Sosulski’s research, and practice focus is on technological progress in education. Her specific area of expertise is online education and educational technology.

Ben Bowman

Ben Bowman is an award-winning filmmaker, media producer and educator who specializes in educational technology and online learning. He collaborates closely with faculty, students and administrators to integrate innovative technologies and narrative techniques into effective learning experiences.

Before joining NYU Stern, Ben lead the Instructional Design team at YU Global, where he was responsible for launching a large range of new educational media and technology projects. He has also worked in network television and feature film production. He holds an MFA in film, television and media production from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where he has also taught graduate courses in digital media. He has taught film at Trinity College and has been a guest lecturer at Hampton University, NYU, and the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Amanda Justice is a filmmaker and producer with a background in multimedia development of educational materials, distance education, instructional technology, and online course design. She has designed and produced courses in physics, engineering, law, and the humanities at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. Most recently she worked on a team designing online case studies for real estate courses at MIT. She holds a master's degree in Interactive Media from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Amanda has a background in documentary and experimental filmmaking, and works for a Brooklyn-based cinema arts organization (Mono No Aware) in her spare time.

Sean comes to NYU from Los Angeles where he was educator, trainer, and volunteer manager in the non-profit space working alongside corporate partners like Google, Wells Fargo, and Deloitte where he specialized in creating mentorship programs for underserved students. Before that, he was a teaching fellow at Citizen Schools where he focused on developing innovative teaching and learning strategies for professionals teaching skills-based volunteering in the classroom.  His specialty is in project-based learning and starts with a student centered approach. Currently, he is an MA candidate in the Digital Media Design for Learning program at Steinhardt. Sean spends most of his free time trying to keep up with his two-year-old daughter, but when she's sleeping, he likes to play soccer, cook, and make music.

Sarah supports both the Learning Science Lab and Entrepreneurship teams at Stern. Leveraging her experience in media relations, and brand marketing, she develops communications strategies for the Lab's initiatives. She earned a BS in mass communications from Boston University.
