Additional Submissions by Wait-listed Applicants

The Admissions Committee reserves the right to make final decisions on wait-listed applications prior to receiving additional information. Materials received after a final decision will not affect that decision.

Application Fee
You will be prompted to pay the $95 non-refundable application fee after you submit your application. Your application will not be processed until we receive the application fee. Again, the application is non-refundable and may not be applied toward any future applications at NYU Stern or other NYU programs.

Application Fee Waivers

If you are experiencing economic challenges and would like to request an application fee waiver, please email admchair@stern.nyu.edu. Requests should include a rationale for the application fee waiver and will be considered by the Admissions Committee on a case-by-case basis.

U.S. military members or U.S. veterans who have served active duty, Teach for America, and Teach for India program alumni, and Forté MBALaunch alumnae are eligible for application fee waivers. Just prior to submitting your application, email your request for an application fee waiver to admchair@stern.nyu.edu and include documentation of service.

Once an application fee is paid by an applicant, it is non-refundable. Please be sure to contact admchair@stern.nyu.edu prior to paying your application fee if you wish to be considered for a waiver.

Change of Contact Information

It is the applicant’s responsibility to update NYU Stern immediately with a new email address via the the application status page. Failure to update your email may result in your missing key information, which could jeopardize your admission and/or place in the class. NYU Stern is not responsible for any technological issues that prevent applicants from receiving our communications.

Changing Status after Enrollment: Part-time to Full-time

Stern MBA Academic Affairs does not permit students to switch to a full-time program once they are enrolled in the part-time program or to move from one full-time program to another full-time program.

Deferred Admission

NYU Stern does not grant admission deferrals. If you are admitted and decide not to enroll, you may re-apply for a future term. In special cases, NYU Stern may admit applicants early to a subsequent term.

Enrollment Deposit (Non-refundable)

After admission, non-refundable enrollment deposits are required to secure your place in the incoming class. Typically, the first deposit is due two weeks from the date of your admission. A second enrollment deposit may also be required at a later date. Enrollment deposits will not be refunded for any reason.

Final Decisions

The Admissions Committee reserves the right to release a decision at any time during the application process. All admissions decisions are final.

Langone LAB
Participation in Langone LAB orientation, our one-day high-impact introduction to the Langone MBA program, is mandatory.

Reapplication and Applying to Multiple Programs within the Same Admissions Cycle
Reapplicants must submit a complete, new application to the program of their choice.

Applicants may only have one active application within the 2020-21 admissions cycle (entering Spring, Summer, and Fall terms for 2021). If you are not offered admission or you withdraw your application during this 2020-21 cycle, you may request to reapply in this 2020-21 cycle for the same program with a different start date or you may request to apply to a different program. Requests must be sent to admchair@stern.nyu.edu and your request must be approved before you begin your new application.

Please note the start terms for each program below:

Full-time MBA - Fall 2021
Langone Part-time MBA - Spring 2021 and Fall 2021
Fashion & Luxury MBA - Summer 2021
Andre Koo Tech MBA - Summer 2021
Executive MBA - Spring and Summer 2021

Statement of Certification

Before submitting an application, all applicants are required to read and electronically sign the Statement of Certification. NYU Stern reserves the right to contact appropriate sources to ensure the accuracy of all the information you have provided. NYU Stern validates the accuracy of application information with the appropriate sources. You must promptly inform NYU Stern if any information changes. NYU Stern may revoke your admission and/or scholarship(s) if we learn that you have misrepresented and/or omitted information during or after the admissions process, or that you have engaged in behavior showing a serious lack of judgment or integrity prior to or after admission. If your admission is revoked, you will not be eligible to reapply to any NYU Stern MBA program.  Any items submitted to NYU Stern in conjunction with your application become the sole property of NYU Stern and will not be returned, duplicated, or transferred.

Switching Between Part-time MBA Program Locations or Options

After one year in the Part-time MBA program, you may contact Academic Affairs to request to switch to another Part-time MBA program option. Switching Part-time program options is on a space-available basis.

NYU Stern does not accept transfer credits.
