LGBTQ+

New York City has always been on the forefront of LGBTQ+ rights and issues. Like the City, Stern welcomes and embraces the diversity of our community.

Stern's LGBTQ+ community club, OutClass, serves as a professional, educational, and social forum for LGBTQ+ students and hosts a number of student events each year (e.g., panels, workshops, socials). Each year, Stern students attend the Reaching Out MBA Conference, an annual gathering of LGBTQ+ graduate business school students from all over the world. The conference provides a forum to build personal and professional networks.

In addition, there is also the NYU Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Student Center which creates a welcoming environment for all University students and faculty interested in developing their understanding of LGBTQ+ issues. Support services, resources, programs, advocacy, training, education, and consultation are provided to members of the NYU community.
