New York City has always been on the forefront of LGBTQ rights and issues. Like the City, Stern welcomes and embraces the diversity of our community.

Stern's LGBTQ community club, OutClass, serves as a professional, educational, and social forum for LGBTQ students and hosts a number of student events each year (e.g., panels, workshops, socials). Each year, Stern students attend the Reaching Out MBA Conference, an annual gathering of LGBTQ graduate business school students from all over the world. The conference provides a forum to build personal and professional networks.

In addition, there is also the NYU Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Student Center which creates a welcoming environment for all University students and faculty interested in developing their understanding of LGBTQ issues. Support services, resources, programs, advocacy, training, education, and consultation are provided to members of the NYU community.
