The Part-time MBA program is intended for students looking to advance along their current career path and not those seeking to make significant career change. As such, the career services offered to our part-time students are designed to support student advancement in their current industry or function. In general, the Full-time MBA program is a better fit for those seeking to make significant career switches.
Career services for Part-time MBA students are provided by a team of experienced coaches in the Career Center for Working Professionals (CCWP). The CCWP also offers life-long services to MBA alumni.
Lifetime career coaching that considers your individual interests, strengths, and experiences to strategize a career development plan unique to you
Virtual and in-person events on professional development topics, leadership, career design, and opportunities to interact with alumni
Job postings from employers exclusively seeking to recruit from Stern's working professionals
A foundational career education program made up of three modules to help students navigate any current or future job search
Please note, Part-time MBA students do not have access to summer internship or other formal recruiting/interviewing through Stern (except as stated below for the Langone Recruiting Cohort). And, the current employment status or any change in the employment status of a Part-time MBA student does not change the eligibility or availability of any of the career services offered to Part-time MBA students.
Langone Recruiting Cohort
Part-time MBA students can access Stern Recruitment for full-time roles in their graduating year by completing certain requirements. It is important to note that successful preparation for, and participation in Stern Recruitment for full-time roles demand a significant amount of time. Complete information and requirements are released to eligible students every February. Please note that there are a limited number of both participating companies and available roles in this program.
Stern Recruitment is hybrid at this time. In order to make the most of Stern Recruitment, those participating in the Langone Recruitment Cohort should be ready for the possibility of in-person events and interviews at NYU Stern's location as well as employer's location. In other words, participants will need to consider alternatives if located outside commuting distance to NYU Stern.
Professional Network
Langone students and alumni benefit from access to Stern’s global alumni community, which includes 110,000 members in 130 countries, with 70 percent of alums currently living in the tri-state area.
