Lottery & Registration Process


Lottery Timeline

  • The Fall 2024 lottery submission period runs from May 1st through May 21st (11:59pm) for Two-Year MBA & Langone students and May 23rd through June 6th (11:59pm) for Focused MBA Summer 2024 Admits.
  • The lottery process will run from May 22nd through June 10th for Two-Year MBA & Langone students and June 7th through June 10th for Focused MBA Summer 2024 Admits.
  • Add/drop will begin on June 11th.

Please be aware that payment is due on or before August 6, 2024 for continuing students.

After you register, it is your responsibility to check My Academic Progress to review your graduation requirements and ensure your status has been accurately recorded.


  • View the Fall 2024 Course Schedule
    You can search by department or print the entire schedule. Any schedule or instructor changes will be updated in real-time.
  • Plan Out Your Course Schedule
    You must be currently enrolled or have maintained matriculation in the Spring 2024 semester to be eligible to lottery and to register. Use the Schedule Worksheet before you submit your lottery request.
  • FT MBA students should lottery for up to 15 credits. If you want to take on additional coursework (up to 18 credits), you must be approved for a credit overload by Academic Affairs & Advising.

  • Focused MBA Students
    • Tech MBA students should lottery for up to 15 credits in the fall term.
    • Fashion MBA students should lottery for up to 15 credits in the fall term.
    • If you want to take on additional coursework, you must be approved for a credit overload by Academic Affairs & Advising.
  • Langone MBA Students
    • Students may lottery for up to 9 credits in the Fall.
    • Students may lottery for up to 4.5 credits during the Fall Intensives.
    • Spring 2024 Admits: MGMT-GB 2159 CCN and COR2-GB 3101 Professional Responsibility should be completed during the Fall Intensive. 
      • Weeknight, O/M Program Students: COR1-GB 2310 (Marketing) & COR1-GB 2311 (Foundations of Finance) should be completed during the Fall 2024 semester. MGMT-GB 2159 CCN will automatically appear in your lottery selections and must be submitted along with your other Fall lottery selections.
      • Weekend Program Students: COR1-GB 1302 Leadership in Organizations, COR1-GB 1305 Statistics, and Data Analysis, MGMT-GB 2159 CCN will automatically appear in your lottery selections.
        NOTE: Please review carefully. You must submit these selections along with any added choices and reorder primary rankings to be evaluated in the lottery review.
    • Fall 2023 Admits: The following Core Courses should be completed during Fall 2024, if you have not already done so: 
      • COR1-GB 2303 (The Global Economy) and COR1-GB 2314 (Operations Management)
        NOTE: If you have not yet completed COR1-GB 2103 (Strategy I) and COR1-GB 2104 (Strategy II), they should be completed during the Fall Intensive period.
    • Please refer to the Langone Course Planning Guide to get a sense of when courses are typically offered.
    • Ensure your expected graduation date is up to date by updating it in Albert.
    • Students interested in officially changing their offering status (e.g. from Weeknights to Weekends) should click here for details.
  • Modules with NYC Immersion
    • Combination of asynchronous online learning with on-campus immersions.
    • Specific business theme for each module.

  • Login to Albert to Submit Your Lottery Request
    Your NYU email login & password are required. If you have forgotten your login/password, contact ITS at 212-998-3333 or AskIT@nyu.edu.  
    • Upon submission, students will receive an email confirmation of their registration lottery selections. Please retain this email for verification purposes.
    • Within the registration lottery, we suggest assigning top rank (i.e., primary #1) to your most valued course. The next prioritized course should then be ranked as "primary # 2", etc. Include alternate courses for each primary class so that you may get preference for the alternate in case your primary is closed. Including alternates does NOT reduce your chances of getting a primary choice. It helps to increase the possibility you will end up with a schedule of classes that suits your preferences.

  • View your Lottery Results & Make Schedule Adjustments (Begins June 11th)
  • Registration lottery results will be posted according to your graduation date. You will be able to add/drop courses in real-time (class availability changes as classes open and close).
  • Read the Bursar Instructions
    This includes payment instructions, tuition and fees (any late fees, if applicable), dates and deadlines. Please review before submitting your payment. Please be aware that payment is due on or before August 6th for continuing students.
