NYU Stern's diverse and dynamic community advocates and creates a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies.

LGBTQ+ Students

Resources for LGBTQ Students & Applicants:

  • OutClass - Stern's LGBTQ+ Community Club. OutClass welcomes inquiries from prospective students. Questions may be emailed to outclass@stern.nyu.edu.
  • Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA) - an organization that educates, inspires, and connects LGBTQ+ MBA students at US business schools.
  • NYU Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Student Center creates a welcoming environment for all University students and faculty interested in developing their understanding of LGBTQ+ issues.
  • Out Women in Business is a focused effort to bring the lesbian, bisexual and transgender community together to form a strong, visible network of professionals that will inspire future generations of LBT women to enter business professions. NYU often hosts OWiB's annual conference. Anyone who is interested in learning more about initiatives in this space is welcome to attend.

Scholarships and Financial Assistance

Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA)
NYU Stern designates ROMBA Fellowships to exceptional admitted students who have been selected to receive a merit-based scholarship and who have a demonstrated interest or commitment to opportunities for LGBTQ+ leaders. Every year, Stern students attend the Reaching Out MBA Conference, an annual gathering of LGBTQ+ graduate business school students and active allies from all over the world.

The Point Foundation 
The Point Foundation is an independent scholarship foundation serving LGBTQ+ students and applicants who have taken on leadership roles in the LGBTQ+ community.
