One sentence quote about your experience at NYU Stern so far:

Coming from a music background with no formal business or technology training, Stern has been transformative. I can now navigate both those worlds much more confidently, and I feel thoroughly prepared to keep building my career in product.

How would you describe the culture and community within your class?

The Stern community truly lives up to its “IQ + EQ” philosophy. People are not only incredibly smart but also genuinely kind and collaborative. Whether it is group projects, late night study sessions, or personal check-ins, there is always someone willing to help. The sense of camaraderie is especially strong within the one-year program cohort, where we lean on each other through the fast-paced summer semester before other MBA students even arrive on campus.

What has been your favorite class at Stern? Why?

My favourite class has been the Leadership core course with Professor Pettit during the summer semester. Through thoughtful simulations, introspective exercises, and engaging discussions, I learned to identify my leadership style and understand how to adapt it to different contexts. I still find myself applying his frameworks when leading teams or navigating challenging situations. It was a transformative experience that I'll take with me through my time at Stern and beyond!

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Take the time to truly understand Stern, including its values, community, and the opportunities it offers. Attend webinars, connect with alumni, and reach out to Graduate Ambassadors to get a genuine sense of what it's like to go to Stern. Business school is a major investment, both financially and personally, so make sure the program aligns with your goals and interests!

How has Stern’s location in NYC impacted your experience?

Having New York City as my extended campus has been an absolute dream. On a personal level, you’re surrounded by some of the best entertainment, dining, and cultural experiences in the world - there’s always something inspiring happening just steps away. Professionally, you have unparalleled access to companies, speakers, and events across industries. Being in the city has made my Stern experience dynamic, exciting, and deeply connected to the real world.
