Trip Werd

Hometown: Chicago, IL
Previous Industry/Company: Product Management, Blerp
Stern Involvement: Stern Technology Association
Favorite NYC Spot: One of my favorite spots is Washington Square Park, and I feel so fortunate that it’s right next to campus. I go there often—whether to eat lunch, hang out with classmates, or just enjoy some time with myself—and it’s become a place where I’ve made some great memories. The people-watching is top-notch, and there’s always something unexpected happening, which makes it feel uniquely New York.

Favorite NYC Spot: For fun: the tennis courts at East River Park (12 courts and the most perfect view). For food: Gazab in LES (the best lemon chicken curry). For drinks: Chinato in LES (the gin & juice is simply spectacular). For dessert: La Cabra (the cardamom bun deserves all the hype)

Favorite NYC Spot: New York has so many amazing spots, but the one that I adventure to quite a bit is the Brooklyn Promenade. You can find me walking, running, biking, or even playing pickleball there. There’s something about the river breeze and the skyline glowing at sunset that reminds me of why I fell in love with New York.
