Stern Student speaks on a panel at UN Women's HeforShe Universities webinar.

Aparna Vagvala spoke on a panel at UN Women's HeforShe Universities webinar. The conversation was focused on how universities can help translate academic learning into real world impact, with attendees from universities around the world. Aparna's team had worked on a project that focused on countering online misogyny and the "manosphere", and their report really took off.

The panel explored how these engagements can translate academic learning into real-world impact. From the power of peer-to-peer accountability in driving change on campus to the professional pathways that emerge through collaboration. It also highlighted how student-led initiatives can evolve into sustained organizations advancing gender equality.

Together, these reflections underscore the role of universities as powerful spaces for leadership, learning, and progress on gender equality.
