New York City, Together: The Stern Signature Experience Series
Each year, the Stern Signature Experience Series (SES) brings the Undergraduate College community together through shared moments that capture the energy, history, and possibility of New York City. Designed to cultivate a sense of belonging and connectedness, SES invites students to experience the city, and each other, in rare and meaningful ways.
First-years cheered courtside at the world-renowned US Open, sophomores rendezvoused at the Bowery Hotel for a night on historic Bowery Street, juniors spent an evening at the American Museum of Natural History under the blue whale in the Hall of Oceanic Life, and seniors cruised along the Hudson and East Rivers, marveling at the myriad New York City landmarks that create the legendary skyline they’ve called home for the past four years together.
SES is more than a series of events at iconic New York locations. It’s an opportunity for students to form genuine camaraderie beyond the classroom and to feel part of something larger than themselves. It’s also a time for students to be present and take stock: to reflect on their own unique backgrounds, the world around them, their place in history, and what waits for them ahead—all while having some fun in the greatest city in the world.
Here’s what some had to say:
