How did you prepare for the program before you began it?

Before starting the program, I proactively connected with current students and alumni to gain insights into their experiences and gather valuable advice on how to navigate the program effectively. Additionally, I began my apartment search early and secured a lease in advance to ensure a smooth transition and minimize any last-minute stress.

What class/professor has made the deepest impression on you?

“Becoming You” with Professor Suzy Welch has left the deepest impression on me. The course was truly transformative—thought-provoking, introspective, and unlike anything I’ve experienced before. It challenged me to think deeply about who I am and who I want to become, both personally and professionally. Words can hardly do justice to the impact it had on me.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

While the best advice would be tailored to the unique circumstances of the potential applicant, a general recommendation is to be yourself. Additionally, I suggest connecting with current students and alumni to gain a thorough understanding of Stern’s culture. Lastly, I recommend enjoying the process!

What surprised you the most about Stern?

What surprised me the most about Stern is how genuinely supportive and collaborative the community is. From day one, I’ve seen classmates go out of their way to help one another—whether it’s sharing resources, prepping for interviews, or just checking in. The emphasis on EQ isn’t just a buzzword here; it’s deeply embedded in the culture and shows up in how people treat each other every day.

How has being located in the heart of NYC set you up for professional success?

New York City is a land of opportunities, offering something for everyone to advance their career. The networking opportunities in NYC are immense, and the city’s diverse population broadens horizons.

How has Stern prepared you for the recruiting process?

Stern has been incredibly supportive during the recruiting process, especially through its professional clubs, which are tailored to nearly every career path. These clubs offer structured resources, peer mentorship, and industry insights that make a real difference in helping students navigate recruiting successfully.

How would you describe the Stern community?

The Stern community is incredibly collaborative and grounded in emotional intelligence. People genuinely care about one another and are always willing to offer support, whether it’s academically, professionally, or personally. It’s a community where people lift each other up and succeed together.
