One of my goals going into Stern was to get more familiar with analyzing and interpreting data. Data Driven Decision Making with Professor Xiao Liu was a great crash course introduction into working with large sets of data and using various software programs to make sense of it all.

Collaborative, curious and open. As soon as I got to campus, I was able to meet many people from a wide range of backgrounds and professions. Balancing school, recruiting and life in general can certainly be overwhelming, and Sternies are eager to support each other and help out however they can. 

Authenticity goes a long way. Showcase your actual interests and passions and drive home how you can bring your unique perspective to the MBA program in a way that will be mutually beneficial.

I worked in music and entertainment before Stern and so much of the industry is relationship-based. It was important for me to maintain those connections while pursuing my MBA, and Stern’s location in the heart of Manhattan could not be more perfect for it!
