A Curriculum Customized to Your Goals

You need a curriculum that is relevant to your career goals. We provide the options to get you there. Choose up to three areas of focus from more than 25. From there, you can dial in your experience by selecting from a pool of over 200 electives.

A rigorous general business core, in-depth electives in real estate investment, development, financing and analysis, and hands-on industry work equip you with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop a prosperous career in real estate.

You will also have the chance to round out your real estate expertise by taking elective courses from NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate.

Center for Real Estate Finance Research

The NYU Stern CREFR fosters thought leadership in real estate finance, economics and operations. This relationship also deepens Stern’s relationship with the investment community, and residential and commercial real estate industries, while positioning Stern students to become the industry’s future leaders.

The Executive in Residence Program
This program, run through the Center for Real Estate Finance Research (CREFR), brings Stern students and senior leaders from the industry together. Some of the many companies represented include Aerium, TH Real Estate, CarVal Investors, Patron Capital, CBRE Capital Advisors, Clarion Partners, Vornado, Howard Hughes Corporation, Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority and Trepp.

The Career Mentor Program
Also run through the (CREFR), the Career Mentor Program pairs Stern students specializing in real estate with an industry leader from companies like Morgan Stanley and Stone Mountain Management.
