CSB Annual Practice Forum

CSB Practice Forum 2019 Bill McNabb and Adi Ignatius

In March 2020, the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business (CSB) hosted its third annual Practice Forum, Building the Financial Case for Return on Sustainability Investment (ROSI).

We are delighted to announce HSBC Bank USA President and CEO Michael Roberts as the 2020 Keynote Speaker along with HSBC Bank USA's support as Lead Sponsor, Glenmede and Investindustrial as Supporting Sponsors, and Harvard Business Review as Media Partner. For a full speaker list and agenda for the 2020 Practice Forum, click here.

Similar to the 2018 and 2019 events, the convening focused on how to identify, track, and monetize sustainability returns driven by innovation, operational efficiency, employee engagement, brand enhancement, and risk mitigation, for better decision-making by the C-suite and investors.

Note: The Practice Forum is invitation-only and intended for executives and investors who work in fields related to corporate sustainability, ESG investing, and/or sustainable finance. To learn more or to express interest, please reach out to us at sustainablebusiness@stern.nyu.edu.

In 2019, the CSB Practice Forum featured two Fireside Chats on the ROI of Sustainability; between F. William McNabb, Former Chairman of Vanguard, and Adi Ignatius, Editor-in-Chief of Harvard Business Review, and between John D. Williams, CEO of Domtar, and Emily Chasan, Sustainable Finance Editor of Bloomberg LP. The agenda also featured hands-on workshops that provided participants the opportunity to work through the CSB ROSI™ Methodology for risk mitigation, positive impacts on employees, and sustainability-related operational efficiencies. Materials from CSB Practice Forums are available here:
