Stern MBA Class Creates Sustainable Fashion Playbook with CFDA

CFDA
The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) launched the “CFDA KPI Design Kit: A Sustainable Strategies Playbook for Measurable Change” in collaboration with a Stern MBA student team from the Sustainability for Competitive Advantage course taught by Clinical Professor of Business & Society Tensie Whelan. Led by Whelan (Director) and Sophie Rifkin (Senior Associate Director) of the Stern Center for Sustainable Business, the students worked to address key challenges to sustainable fashion in areas ranging from sales to supply chain.

Excerpt: “Fostering collaboration between the circles of education and industry, as well as multi-generational collaboration has never been more vital to our progress and to our existence, as is the power of creativity, ingenuity and the role of design in accelerating a shift to circularity – driven by quadruple bottom line thinking- people, planet, purpose, before profit.”
