Research Assistant: Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Project Lead, Invest NYC SDG Initiative - Student Position 

The NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business (CSB) is seeking a skilled, committed NYU graduate student to serve as the project lead for the renewable energy and energy efficiency work of a CSB initiative, Invest NYC SDG, (the “CSB initiative”).  The CSB initiative has the goal of driving private sector financing toward creating a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient New York City. Using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) as a framework, the CSB initiative is developing concrete investable projects in six areas -- the built environment, waste, food and health, climate resilience, sustainable mobility, and renewable energy.

The research assistant will support and help to expand the database, which identifies those buildings that will be subject to fines under NYC Local Law 97, identifies the largest carbon-emitting buildings, and correlates the information with the building owner and the mortgage lender to support the deployment of the C-PACE program and increase the energy efficiency around the city.

Graduate Marketing Intern - Sustainability - Student Position 

The NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business (CSB) seeks a Graduate Marketing Intern to work on the 3rd phase of the CSB Sustainability Market Share Index, an in-depth analysis of consumer purchases of products that are marketed for their sustainable attributes.

The Graduate Marketing Intern will be working with IRI data to analyze and report on actual CPG (consumer packaged goods) sustainable purchases at retail in the year of a pandemic.

Work Study Intern, Fall 2021- Student Position 

The NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business (CSB) is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and organized student to provide the team with support on a range of administrative and office tasks. The intern will be responsible for drafting blog and news posts for CSB's website, maintaining CSB's job board, uploading complete and accurate contact information to Saleforce and Mailchimp; and more. 

This position is open to undergraduate students who are work-study eligible with an interest in sustainability preferred.

Associate Director, Invest NYC SDG Initiative - Full-Time Position 

The NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business (CSB) is seeking a committed individual to provide high-level strategic, logistical, and operational support to the Director of a CSB initiative, Invest NYC SDG, (the “CSB initiative”) for a fixed-term position.  The CSB initiative has the goal of driving private sector financing toward creating a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient New York City. Using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) as a framework, the CSB initiative is developing concrete investable projects in six areas -- the built environment, waste, food and health, climate resilience, sustainable mobility, and renewable energy.

The Associate Director will join the Invest NYC SDG Initiative team to advance the development of a sustainable urban economy in New York City. The Associate Director is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the CSB Initiative, including supervising Invest NYC SDG team members, and providing a high level of strategic and logistical support to the Director.

Senior Research Project Manager - Food and Health, Invest NYC SDG Initiative - Full-Time Position 

The NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business (CSB) is seeking a skilled, energetic, and committed individual to provide high level research and strategic leadership to the food and health projects that are part of the Invest NYC SDG, (the “CSB initiative”). The CSB initiative has the goal of driving private sector engagement and financing toward creating a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient New York City. Using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) as a framework, the CSB initiative is developing concrete investable projects in six areas -- the built environment, waste, food and health, climate resilience, sustainable mobility, and renewable energy.

The Senior Research Project Manager will lead the food and health projects under the Invest NYC SDG Initiative. They will be responsible for providing a high level of support to the initiative Director in developing and executing on the research and stakeholder engagement strategy agenda for the food and health projects; liaising with research partners and staff as well as research advisors, working groups, and other experts; and more.
